Without body. CoroDelantal

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

The Grand CoroDelantal, composed of singers from CoroDelantal MACA and CoroDelantal Madrid, premieres the work Without Body, created specifically for the occasion by the renowned composer and architect Anna Bofill Levi, academic of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi. The poem that inspired the work is written by Cinta Montagut, Catalan poet. Both artists have been working on this project for months alongside Sonia Megías, director of CoroDelantal, and have already held several rehearsals and in-person meetings with both branches of the choir in Alicante and Madrid respectively.

Without Body is a work commissioned by MACA and will be rehearsed by CoroDelantal MACA together with Anna and Cinta starting Tuesday, March 25 in the various spaces of the museum, to hold the world premiere on Sunday the 30th at 12:30. The work blends the sound of the smooth stones from Cadaqués (where the creators of the piece reside) and Altea, with the voices of the choir singers and the resonances of the different spaces of the museum. It is a work in movement, in which the behavior of the group evokes the choirs of Ancient Greece.

A beautiful and very original creation, a fusion between music and architecture that will not leave anyone indifferent.

We look forward to seeing you!

Shall we talk about art? April 2025

On this occasion we will focus on Víctor Vasarely. An artist considered the father of Op Art.

We propose a new way of relating to the museum with the aim of consolidating and promoting mutual enrichment and an exchange of experiences.

Through these guided visits and activities, we want to reflect on concepts and ideas that will emerge throughout the visit, relating the works from the MACA collections to their context, in a transversal way, analyzing current reality and how artists represent their experiences by creating a collective memory through the great diversity of contemporary languages that have emerged in the 20th and 21st centuries.

For inquisitive adults. Led by Explicarte. With the support of the Consorci de Museus de la Generalitat.

ABSTRACT CONFERENCE

Anna Bofill. ABSTRACT CONFERENCE

COMPOSING SPACES AND SOUNDS

Three perspectives: architecture, music, feminism. Composing to give meaning to the forms in which we live. To inhabit them, to listen to them, when one inhabits a space, it is perceived through all the senses. Sounds are there in everything, whether we want them to be or not. We can fill space with created sounds or not, and if there are no sounds, then the natural environment or your own body sounds or resonates. Composing is organizing (chaos). Distributing pure or complex geometries. Organic forms (existing in nature) can be pure or complex as well. Everything can be formalized from a landscape to sounds.

Architecture and urban environments also from other perspectives, music and feminist theories. Examples at different scales from residential complexes to urban fabrics and buildings, and some musical compositions.

Intra-actions. Uriel Fogué

ABSTRACT CONFERENCE

Intra-actions with Uriel Fogué.

In its latest reports, the United Nations Environment Programme calls for a "rapid transformation of societies" to address the climate crisis. In them, architecture is identified as one of the basic fields of action where a possible ecological collapse is at stake.

What can we do?

Inaction is not an option. Architecture must shift from its usual positions. This lecture will present four shifts that, we believe, reposition architectural practice within an ecological framework.
