Ti do re mi fa sol la ti

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

Si fa sol la mi la re do la is the presentation of the results of a cycle carried out specifically for/with the students of the Rafael Rodríguez Albert Municipal Professional Music Conservatory of Mutxamel, in dialogue with the MACA, during the month of April 2023.

The theoretical-practical sessions pointed to a possible correlation between the concepts of emptiness and silence, specifically based on a reading of references that related different practices in the field of visual and live arts around these concepts.

From the reading and as a response to a series of group dynamics based on principles of condition, Si fa sol la mi la re do la emerges: a cassette with side A and side B that serves as a witness to the students' creations.

The cycle, taught by Leti Cano —independent curator and mediator— and Mar Reykjavik —visual artist and mediator—, was made possible thanks to Eva Coves Orts —professor of Creativity and Music at the Conservatory— and Aitor, Brais, Esther, Raquel, Llorenç, Celia, María, Joel, Darío, Paula, Martín, Maia and Sergio; the voices, bodies and silences that make up the Cassette and that appear in the fanzine that will both be presented on the 18th.

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

ACTION/FICTION is an annual performing arts initiative aimed at young people between 15 and 30 years old. This initiative seeks to continue the success of "No more Boring Artists: Campus Escénico", an intensive summer program that has captured the attention of numerous young people, extending its creative spirit throughout the year.

The laboratory will offer a unique space for creation and experimentation, where participants will work on three quarterly performing arts creation projects. I don't want to be Cinderella

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

EASDA (School of Art and Higher Design of Alicante) in collaboration with MACA presents, from March 1st to 8th, the exhibition: "I Don't Want to Be Cinderella".

The exhibition displays more than 50 pieces of "illustrated" footwear, created by second-year students of the Higher Degree Training Cycle in Illustration in the subject of graphic expression techniques.

Each student proposal: shoe, sneaker, boot, flip-flop… is a personal vision that expresses the different situations experienced in the family sphere or in the closest environment in relation to gender issues.

The objectives of the teaching project, curated by Alicia Rodríguez Boado and Mª Lucrecia Bernal Valencia are:

To demonstrate through the art of social action the rejection of stereotypes from fairy tales, which influence and condition us from childhood.

To promote the search for creative solutions that lead us towards gender equality.

MACAlistens

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

MACAlistens … is to create a space to share and exchange ideas, open debates and new ways of thinking around art and education.

On September 22nd we present our Educational Program. In this meeting we propose our intention to organize different meetings or encounters with teachers interested in discussing and reflecting on other ways of working with art and education, in exchanging ideas and actions.

These encounters aim to be open and flexible with the idea that the more diverse the participants, the more enriching the result will be. However, we think we should start by levels; teachers of early childhood education and first cycle of primary school, then organize encounters with primary school and finally with secondary school. Similarly, we think it would be ideal to start with two sessions per level, with the aim of exchanging ideas and reflections in a first meeting and deepening and sharing experiences in the second.

The encounters would take place in the MACA library at 5 p.m. The calendar of sessions would be as follows:

Early Childhood and Primary:

-November 8th

-November 15th

-December 1st

Secondary we propose in January 2023.

If this proposal interests you, please complete this registration form so we can get to know you and contact you.

I, Juana. Inter-Center Seminar

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

The inter-school seminar YO, JUANA emerges as a response to the need to create collaborative training spaces between teachers from different educational centers and the MACA, with the aim of jointly addressing specific challenges in the school environment related to contemporary art. This training modality allows for sharing experiences, analyzing practices, and designing pedagogical resources that respond to the diverse realities of students.

In this case, this project has been developed around the work of Juana Francés. With highly satisfactory results, both for the MACA and for the centers, such as the implementation of active and collaborative methodologies in the classroom, the generation of professional networks among teachers from different centers, and the development of a series of didactic materials adapted to the needs of students.

For the MACA, these didactic materials have taken the form of a box whose contents are composed of different objects, games, and educational proposals that will help the MACA make this artist known to the educational centers that request it. Each proposal, object, and game has been tested by the students of the participating teachers.

The participating teachers come from the educational centers: IES Playa San Juan, IES María Blasco de San Vicente, IES San Blas, IES Enric Valor de El Campello, and IES 8 de marzo.

I cook it myself, I eat it myself II

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

But, what is this course about?

Has it ever happened to you that you were going to cook your favorite dish and just before you start you realize you're missing an ingredient? It happens to me constantly. And, what do you do?

a) I change the recipe. I refuse to do culinary experiments and end up without eating.

b) I go into crisis mode and decide to eat out.

c) I look at what I have in the fridge and improvise.

Whatever your answer is, don't worry, we've all been through all three.

Discovery, frustration and illumination. They are part of the phases of the creative process.

And now, transfer this experience to the art classroom. When you think you have everything under control, some material doesn't show up, the internet fails, classes are online...

Offering new alternatives is not easy, but it is possible. It's a matter of practice, observation and experimentation. Do you dare? I will help you guide the Plastic Arts area in a creative way, developing materials and personalized proposals for each school,

from an inclusive and cross-curricular perspective.

Contents

U0-Appetizers: Presentation and introduction. EPVA, what is and what is not Art Education? Survey. Resource platforms.

U3-Second course: Interdisciplinarity. Projects with other areas.

U4-Dessert: the hidden curriculum. The other History of Art.
