[Stream, Eduardo]
Eduardo Arroyo is a universal artist, recognized as a fundamental pillar of the plastic arts over the last four decades. Which does not mean that his trajectory has not been eventful. One of the key dates in his beginnings is 1958 when he moves to Paris, the city of light, where art in general shone in a special way.
His reintegration into the Spanish art scene would not be complete until 1977, after a long absence of 14 years. His plastic language is connected to that critical figuration, with pop roots and clear political undertones that had special relevance in Spain.
Eduardo Arroyo arrives with significant baggage, that of a consolidated creator, recognized outside our country. It is the moment of consolidation, of discovery for many of this complex artist who had been away from the national scene for too many years. He bursts onto the scene with force and in 1982 receives a well-deserved National Prize for the Plastic Arts. Today his works can be seen in the most important museums in the world, and in private collections where the presence of this artist is essential.
