The Segundo García documentary collection is associated with his Library and García's special connection with the Museo de La Asegurada when he was director. It is composed of varied documents including texts written by García himself, official correspondence, personal letters and photographs, members of the municipal Corporation and the Association, Museum collaborators, artists and cultural figures as well as works related to the design and museographic material of the Museum itself.

The documentation associated with the Alicante-born artist Juana Francés originates from the artist's testamentary bequest to this museum and has been supplemented with a very important collection of publications and more than 500 documents including letters, drawings, photographs and negatives, notes, notebooks, press articles, etc. donated to the MACA by Juana Francés's family.

The Eusebio Sempere documentary collection is a living set of more than 2000 documents including photographs, correspondence, press articles, reports, notes, pamphlets, account books, documents related to his relationship with galleries, exhibitions, business cards, etc. The documentation comes from continuous donations over time from the family of Eusebio Sempere and from the heirs of Abel Martín, so that the vital and artistic trajectory of the artist and his historical context has been completed in an extraordinary way.

The Museum of La Asegurada as such has a history limited to the period 1977-2005. The documentary collection that is kept constitutes the history of the institution. It contains documentation related to the creation of the Museum, photographs, correspondence, documents about the donation of the 20th Century Art Collection, constitution and meetings of the 20th Century Art Collection Association; appointment as adopted son of Eusebio Sempere; inauguration of the Museum of La Asegurada, etc.

It is composed of approximately 1000 items including books, exhibition catalogs, brochures and magazines, from his personal library. Segundo García (Cuenca, 1929-Alicante, 2014), professor of drawing at the Miguel Hernández Institute in Alicante since 1965, was a cultured man, eager to learn, reflective and thoughtful, a humanist who treasured precious and unique books on art and culture from the 1950s until his final days. It was he himself, as director of the La Asegurada Museum from 1989 to 1996, who initiated the MACA Library and made a special effort to achieve a modern and open museum. The bibliographic collection is completed with an important series of documentation: projects, correspondence, reports, photographs, writings, etc. that we have named the Segundo García Documentary Collection.
