About the work of...Gabriele Münter

Activity

Great artists, plain and simple. January 2025

General public

18 January 2024 - 18 January 2025

On this occasion, we will direct our attention to Gabriele Münter, one of the founders of The Blue Rider (Der Blaue Reiter), the legendary group of expressionist artists based in Munich. In her works, with precise lines and intense colors, the German painter immerses the viewer in her private world. As a result of her keen eye, lovers, friends, everyday objects, landscapes, or herself are reduced to their essence.

Accompanied by the Explicarte team, we invite you to participate in this workshop visit with vermouth, a space for meeting and learning where we will recognize and celebrate the impact of women artists who, like Judith Scott, broke barriers and left a unique legacy in the history of art.

Collaborates: Consortium of Museums of the Valencian Community.

Workshop visit with vermouth around the work of female artists from the collections. Guided tour by ExplicarteTraditionally, women have been considered second-class citizens in the world of culture. This position was based on a statistic supported by a very limited number of women who had stood out in the field of literature, thought, and the plastic arts. This idea crumbles in the face of a simple consideration, and that is the reduced opportunities they had to develop their personal talents.
