The Carmen Cazaña Library is composed of more than 800 copies including books, pamphlets, magazines and contemporary art exhibition catalogs, the fruit of her activity and passion. Carmen Cazaña (Málaga, 1928-Alicante, 2025) was a key figure in the development of contemporary art in Alicante. She directed Gallery 11 for almost 40 years, located on Belando Street, which became a reference point for modernity and a meeting place for artists and cultural figures. A promoter of avant-garde art, Carmen championed artists such as Gordillo, Guinovart, and Juan Uslé. She exhibited works by artists with recognized trajectories such as Lucio Muñoz and Eusebio Sempere, and organized exhibitions of local artists such as Vicente Rodes, Aurora Valero, Mª Dolores Mulá, Javier Lorenzo, María Chana, Paco Molinero Ayala, and Ricardo Junio.
